Capital Bank of Jordan announced that its profits increased by 10.8% to JOD 20 million in the first half of 2014 compared to JOD 18 million in the same period of 2013.

Chairman of the bank, Basem Khalil Al-Salem, said that during the first six months of 2014, the bank managed to increase its net facilities by 7.9% to JOD 730 million compared to JOD 676 million by the end of the last year, and deposits increased also by 7.3% to JOD 1223 million from JOD 1140 million by the end of 2013.

The bank profits had increased by 23% in the first quarter of 2014 to JOD 10.6 million compared to JOD 8.6 million in the same quarter of the last year. Data showed that total assets of the bank hit JOD 1880 million by the end of last June.
