Al-Quds Index closed today session declining by 0.46%, or 2.40 points, at 519.39 points and kept trading in red territory, pressured by investment index which lost 1.17%.

The general index ended today’s session declining by 0.37%, or 1.02 points at 574.98 points.

Out of 161.99 thousand shares were traded through 87 transactions at a turnover of $420.76 thousand. Total of 20 companies participated in trading, 4 rose, 9 declined and the remaining 7 ones kept flat.

The top three gainers were Arab Palestinian Investment Co which increased by 1.8%, Palestine Islamic Bank which rose by 0.8% and Bank of Palestine which rose by 0.36%.

The top three losers were Al-Iqaria Trading Investment Co which lost 4.8%, Golden Wheat Mills PLC which declined by 4% and The Arab Real Estate Co Ltd which shed 3.33%.

At the sectors level, investment topped the losing sectors as it declined by 1.17%, followed by industry sector which lost 0.38% and services sector which plunged by 0.37%, while the only gaining sector was banks sector which increased by 0.20%.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Quds Index ended last week declining by 0.05%, or 0.27 point, to 521.79 points and the general index declined by 0.22%, or by 0.60 point, to 276.00 points.
