The Kuwaiti -listed, Kuwait Cement Co. said its profits edged by nearly 1% in 2014 to reach KWD 17.32 million ($57.66 million) compared with KWD 17.16 million ($57.13 million) for the previous year.

Meanwhile, the company's board of directors recommended dividends payout of 18% , representing KWD 18 fils per share , it said in a bourse statement.

The company posted net profits of KWD 3.24 million for the fourth quarter of 2014, up by 20% from the same period of the previous year.
