Mubasher: Gulf Hotels Group posted a growth of 168% in profits during the fourth quarter of 2016 as compared to the same period a year ago.

Earnings grew to BHD 3.78 million ($9.9 million) in Q4-16 from BHD 1.41 million ($3.7 million) in Q4-15, the company said in a bourse filing issued on Thursday.

During the fiscal year of 2016, profits increased by 75.27% to total BHD 16.132 million when compared to BHD 9.197 million in FY15.

The board has recommended a cash dividend of 25% or 25 fils per share as well as 10% bonus shares or 1-for-10 shares, the statement added.
