Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) and TA’ZIZ have signed an agreement to establish the UAE’s first dedicated chemicals port at the TA’ZIZ Industrial Zone in Al Ruwais.

Under the 50-year deal, ADNOC L&S will build, own, and operate the venture, while TA’ZIZ will use it for global chemical exports, according to a press release.

Exceeding $300 million, the joint project is set for completion in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026.

Meanwhile, the port is forecast to generate over $1.30 billion in revenues for ADNOC L&S in the first 27 years.

It will also support TA’ZIZ in producing 4.70 million tons of chemicals annually by 2028.

The facility will feature shore-to-ship power to cut emissions and include three berths, two for TA’ZIZ products and one dry berth for TA’ZIZ and third parties.

Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S, said: “The project demonstrates our ability to expand into high-growth sectors and deliver sustainable value for shareholders, while advancing the UAE’s industrial growth.”

Mashal Al-Kindi, CEO of TA’ZIZ, added: “With TA’ZIZ strategically located close to fast-growth markets in Asia and Africa, this dedicated chemicals port will enable us to export our products efficiently and at scale, supporting the UAE’s ambition to establish a world-scale chemicals industry.”

TA’ZIZ is central to ADNOC’s strategy to strengthen the UAE’s chemical value chain, diversify the economy, and create thousands of jobs through an integrated ecosystem.

During the first half (H1) of 2025, ADNOC L&S achieved 5% higher net profits at $420.38 million, compared to $401.38 million in H1-24.
