Riyadh - Mubasher: Eastern Province Cement Company inked a SAR 300 million financing contract with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) on 26 October.
The funds will support the construction of a new production line at the company’s plant, with a daily capacity of 10,000 tons, according to a bourse filing.
Meanwhile, the new line is planned to replace some of the company’s existing production lines.
Eastern Cement secured the seven-year facility through an order note, insurance policy endorsements, and a mortgage on related equipment. The company will utilize the financing to support cost-efficient production expansion.
First announced in January 2024, the project has a total cost of SAR 1.01 billion ($270.52 million).
In the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, Eastern Cement posted an annual decline of 6.71% in net profits to SAR 125 million, compared with SAR 134 million.
